Stood alone but I was most impressed with Middleton’s The Dottie Line Deus Ar Main Gas Avec Caelestibleu (Basset Bleu de Gascogne) this young bitch was full of spirit and even after a long day she came into the ring full of herself. Feminine and is well proportioned all through, desirable in head & neck with correct ear set, correctly proportioned in body shape & just needs to mature in this department, correct well presented coat & in hard muscle tone, well set & carried tail, has very desirable movement. Well handled and presented clean and fit for function.

Basset Bleu De Gascogne, The Dottie Line Deus Ar Maen Glas Avec Caelestiibleu how lovely to get my hands on this breed again, this 9mth bitch is a lovely specimen and she showed herself off to advantage, good head shape and length of skull with dark oval eye and long low set ears, she stands on short forelegs with strong bone and has a good length of back and a firm topline, such a happy and easy mover and so beautifully handled.

I’m glad this striking Basset Blue de Gascogne bitch is judged on the floor as I believe her super happy demeanour would have wagged her right off the table! Super head with good eye and ear set, strong, long neck to well placed shoulders with corresponding length and return of upper arm. Good depth and length of ribbing well sprung. Good underline to strong loin, excellent rear assembly with good width and depth of first and second thigh. Good turn of stifle, hocks strong and well let down. Not surprisingly she demonstrated excellent drive and balanced carriage on the move, with her well set tail broadcasting her joy for the show ring! BOB

A great wedge shaped head with good dome and excellent deep muzzle with good wide nostrils. Deep chest with excellent pro sternum, ribs well sprung. Tuck up to adequate loin with slight arch over, good strong rear assembly with good turn of stifle and well let down hocks - showed as she moved out with great drive.

This Basset Blue De Gascogne was a very athletic and powerful exhibit, he is lively, his head is wedge-shaped, he has oval eyes giving a gentle expression, low set ears of good length, slightly arched neck, strength of bone in his front and rear assemblies, he had depth of chest and a prominent sternum, well-sprung ribs, he held a level topline, good tail set and carraige, he moved out positively and he certainly drives from the rear, him and his handler work well together, he was Best Import.
